About Comprehensive Medicine

We are a local Alpine Family who quickly realized the lack of Health Care options in East San Diego County. This is what urged us to start Comprehensive Medicine and California Mobile Physicians. We proudly serve most of San Diego County for all your in home care needs. We have our primary care office located in Alpine California only 30 minutes east of San Diego. Our Continuity of Care model will insure that we can serve your health care needs beyond a local office or in home visit. Our ability to personally admit you to Grossmont Hospital as our Patient and utilize the resources the Hospital offers is truly what sets us apart. You will continue to be cared for by our Medical Physicians at Grossmont Hospital. Upon discharge our clinicians will continue your care either in your own home or with a follow up visit at Comprehensive Medicine.

Dr. Mary Gessner-Peterson, D.O

Dr. Mary Gessner-Peterson, D.O, is board certified in BOTH Emergency Medicine and Internal Medicine. Dr. Gessner-Peterson graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005. Dr. Gessner-Peterson has experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, house calls, critical care, internal medicine and geriatrics. Prior to Medical school Dr. Gessner-Peterson was an ER nurse for over 8 years. Dr Gessner-Peterson is associate medical director of several local Skilled Nursing Facilities.

Brian Peterson, PA-C

Brian Peterson, PA-C, graduated from Drexel University Physician Assistant Program in Philadelphia in 2003. Brian has been an Emergency Medicine clinician for 13 years and also has experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, house calls, internal medicine and geriatrics. Prior to PA school Brian was an EMT/Paramedic and offers 25 years of EMS experience.
